Description
About your Role :
As a Peer Support Specialists work as a member of the ACT or TACT team, advocating and working with your assigned adult clients.
The team is comprised of several members, each with their own focus with the client, including housing, vocational services, therapy, medical, and substance use.
As our Peer Support Specialist, you will work alongside clients as a source of support, offering your lived experience with mental / behavioral health or substance use to encourage recovery and resiliency.
This position includes client transportation as needed and one week on-call rotation, handled virtually or in person, depending on the situation.
For optimal client success, you will meet with clients in the local community primarily, with approximately 20% of your time spent in the office or via zoom / phone.

Assertive Community Treatment (ACT)
ACT is a specialty service that involves a multidisciplinary team approach offered in the adult’s natural setting. Focused on helping those who have not been successfully engaged in services and / or those who have not benefited from traditional mental health services for individuals aged 25 and older.
Transitional Assertive Community Treatment (TACT)
TACT is a subset of ACT, serves consumers from 18-29. TACT help those who have not been successfully engaged in services and / or those who have not benefited from traditional mental health services.
